That evening, those dedicated to the King jubilated the aborted scheme and his safety by starting bonfires and blasting fireworks. Going forward, it became a frequent affair that has entertained lots of generations.    

Bonfire Night is honored as a remembrance of the failed attempt by Catholic extremists to do away with the king and other monarchy officials in 1605. The evening in addition acts as an indication of the perils faced by leaders.
